Namma Review from Kaz in Australia - By: krystalkaz, 31 Jan 2005
Ive read Namma..... three times.... Ive imagined myself in Kate Karko's shoes.... This is a captivating love storey of adventure & devotion to a new partner, new family, new traditions, new experiences, non materialistic true down to earth nature of family, fresh air, & freedom to adapt & accept different culture & traditions of a nomadic Tibeten family..... I feel like packing my bags in search of a wild mountain man similar to the true love that kate karko found. I loved this book. Kaz from Australia Lady 42 yrs old Single 4 children.
Snap Shot - By: D. Wragg, 30 Jun 2004
This book was not what I expected. The standard love storey is skimmed over & mentioned in passing. The storey is more of a love for a people & their love of a way of life. This snap shot of Tibetan life is informative, comical & sad in places. As I say not what I expected but still a good read.

This book is brilliantly & sensitively written from the heart. It brought a lump to my throat. The author has shared her most intimate moments & given us an insight into the lives of a culture which is completely alien to Western life & yet makes the reader feel as though he/she is part of that life - the book is a revelation & should be read by the majority of westerners who live in our rat race & need to realise that there is an alternative.
Wonderfully written - By: , 27 Mar 2002
I visited Tibet at Easter 2000 & reading this book a year or so after i got back brought back alll the wonderful memories I have of a truly kind & generous people willing to help any intrepid traveller & keen to find out about where they are from & what they think of their country.
This book is a must-read for its true accounts of the people & country.
Nothing can compare to going to Tibet yourself, but this book comes a close second.
An amazing account of life in Tibet - By: , 30 Jan 2002
This book brings to life the real side to tibetan nomadic life as seen from an outsider who becomes a true part of the tibetan family, despite cultural & language barriers.
A great account with fascinating photographs included in the book to help in imagining the stunning landscape & the people.
