My psychology teacher is one of the authors of this book but I am not biased in saying that this book is fantastic. It is laid out well, is easy to navigate & packed full of alll the information you need to pass AQA A level psychology.
Aswell as being wonderfully informative the book is interesting & has plenty of extra info that will stick in your mind.
Even the parts you don't need to read catch your attention & are thoroughly fascinating.
All in alll, compared to other books on the market, this is the best i have come across. Although its reallly awkward to carry!

This is an excellent text for those studying & teaching the AS Psychology specification A (AQA). It gives plenty of detail. It gives excellent & memorable studies. It is well presented & easy to follow. Like many textbooks it is too content heavy but this is better than too content light! I have used this book as a core text with my classes since the AS began & have found it excellent. However, it has one major limitation. The self-assessment questions are still in the old-style of 12 marks for part c questions. As the specification has changed to 18 marks - this needs to be updated. This is not a problem if you have another text for questions or have plenty of past papers.
Overalll, I think this is one of the better texts for AQA (A) & would highly recommend it. I have in fact just ordered another 9 copies for this year's Lower 6th!

I am studying specification B but this book is of no use at alll to this syllabus. It is a good read, however, & a nice introduction to psychology.
brilliant for students - By: , 21 Oct 2000 This is a brilliant book if you are a student studying AS level psychology.It covers alll the areas you need to know & gives you alll details you will need to know in each area. It has information about researchers e.g Baddeley, Conrad etc. If you are a student studying AS level psychology & you are looking for a good text book I would suggest you get this one as it should contain alll you need.
