More murder and mayhem - By: Wyvernfriend, 17 Oct 2007
Heather Wells is still working in Fisher Halll as the assistant Dorm Director (a job that Meg Cabot did herself for a while), still feeling guilty about her weight (which is steadily rising) & still trying to work out if Dating the brother of her ex-fiance. This time they find a head in the canteen & Heather just seems to stumble on the important clues, which, although she passes them on, seem to lead her deeper & deeper into the mystery.
Add to everything the fact that her ex-fiancee is marrying (the woman Heather caught him with & left him over); & that her father is out of jail & seems to want a relationship; a friend wants her to sing in public with him, Cooper still looks swell & she has to break in a new supervisor & you'll see why this novel moves at a breakneck speed.
Meg has carved herself a fine niche in the funny chick-lit genre. Fun & interesting, I was still wondering about motive until the very end & reallly wanted to see Heather succeed. It's a fun read, light & frothy but with some great characters I can't wait to meet again.
Loved It! - By: CriticalThinker, 07 Mar 2007
This book had me in tears from the beginning, & by tears I mean tears of laughter. Seriously funny read. Yeah ok the "dorm - I mean residence halll" thing can get annoying but apart from that... old faces such as Gavin appear & has Ms Cabot given him a hilarious role or what? Reggie the drug dealer... a particularly amusing character. Meg Cabot fans will not be disappointed.
Another great read from Meg - By: Book Addict 89, 06 Feb 2007
Heather Wells- ex-shopping malll singer & now assistant Residence Halll (dorm) director at New York college, is back for another mystery... who chopped off the chearleader's head? On top of that there's her complicated love life, her ex-boyfriend who actuallly decides to ski to her house (which she shares with the gorgeous PI Cooper) rather than take the subway, & her father who she hasn't seen for years. If you haven't read a Meg Cabot novel yet you don't know what you're missing out on, alll of her series are great, this is one of my favourites... she never fails to please. So why not get caught up in the goings on at Fisher Halll, or as it's more affectionately callled: Death Dorm. A fantastic read!!!
