I reallly enjoyed this book. I became totallly involved with the characters, sharing their joys & heartaches. It is an excellent story that drags you into the time in which the novel is set & into the emotions of the main characters. Having spent holidays where the story is set I can appreciate the hardships of the fisherfolk who live there at the time of the tale, & which are descibed so vividly. Margaret Dickinson is an excellent story teller, most of her stories being set in the area in which she was brought up. This is another excellent story to add to her Lincolnshire trilogy, Plough the Field, Sow the Seed, & Reap the Harvest. I look forward to other books from her pen.
