When does this book get going? - By: Avid Reader, 17 May 2006
I had high hopes for this book, but I found myself waiting for the story to start pretty much until the end when I realised it wasn't going to.
I read a lot of comedies, but I didn't raise a smile once reading this. I found it a pointless waste of my time!

the llama parlour is full of laughs, it is dirty, nasty, rough & ready & lette creates a hollywood that appears very realistic. if you want an easy going read with lots of laughs read this book. its my first kathy lette but i'll be checking out some more.
Not as good as her others - By: , 03 Jul 2001
I did not enjoy this book as much as Altar Ego & Foetal Attraction. I found it disjointed, thick with dialogue & disappointing. I started this book with great anticipation as it seemed captivating & finished it feeling very let down. If the writer were to rewrite this book & flesh it out a bit more it would be perfect.

Kathy Lette is a fabulous writer & this is her best book by far. I have reread it many times & still find it absolutely hilarious. I would advise everyone to read this book especiallly if they want a good laugh.
