The World is Full of Divorced Women is a glossy, gritty & compelling read. Page 3 model Muffin, her Svengali like boyfriend Jon & their professional & private jaunts around London will make you chuckle with glee.
Cleo, a more uptown sister from Belgravia, jets in from New York to conduct a series of interviews with male movie stars around Europe whilst nursing the mental scars of a bad marriage. Her beauty, intelligence & wit will inspire many readers to cope with sticky situations with equal aplomb.
This story was written in the mid 70's when women making it on their own were still a novelty. Collins was an innovator of the fast, trashy & mesmeric fiction. Shameless product placement, glitzy locations & a sharp observation of social interactions will have the reader focused until the final page.
A fantastic story that needs to be read twice to capture every essence of lust, ambition, anger & vengeance.
