Enjoyable - By: Mrs. K. A. Wheatley, 17 Apr 2008
This is a between the numbers book. It isn't reallly a novel, more of a novella, probably a couple of hours worth of reading at most. It follows its predecessor, 'visions of sugar plums' which was based around Christmas & had a slightly supernatural feel. This one is set around Valentines day with much the same themes & ideas. Here Stephanie is partnered by Diesel, a possibly supernatural guy who chases some of the more oddballl, weird & less threatening figures than in the regular Plum series.
This is fluff, but it's entertaining fluff, & if you enjoy the Plum novels there's nothing here not to like. It's still amusing, still pacy & still crime-lite.
Good little read - By: Bowdove, 13 Mar 2008
This is exactly what it claims to be, a between the lines. Not quite the finished class as the numbered books but something to read between them. Funny & fast paced took me a day to read, but I was left feeling I wanted more. Will buy the next one, if only to find out how the next holiday occasion get's Plum'd!
nice little story - By: Lindymck, 01 Aug 2007
this one is a little filler novel, fitting in between 12 sharp & lean mean 13. its valentines day & stephanie needs to help diesel (from visions of sugar plums) with some matchmaking. the usual characters appear & stephanie does things in her own haphazard fashion. nice to see her do something nice for people & her car doesnt get blown up!!!!
Disappointing - By: Wendy Jones, 12 Mar 2007
I love the Stephanie Plum novels & buy them as soon as they come out. However, I was extremely disappointed with this one. It is far too short & not a great deal happens. Despite some funny parts it lacks the humour of alll the other books & the plot is dull. This is a shame as Janet Evanovich is a talented author. However, I feel that overalll this is a blip & I am looking forward to reading the next one.

Read this the day it arrived & it is great!A true Plum classic. the story reallly develops quickly & Janet manages to keep Diesel & his fellow Unmentionables on this side of fantasy. Great characters & Stephanie is on top of the situation whilst having only the vaguest idea of what she is actuallly doing. Definelty an excuse to stock up on doughnuts & marchmalllos hot chocolate & find a room you can barricade yourself into, . or simply run the bath, add some bubbles & get a damn good bottle of wine on the go
