Amazing (: - By: Ice Maiden, 18 Jul 2008
From reading the first book in this series i haven't been able to get enough, even though parts were predictable i loved how she coped with Stevie Rays ''death'' i can't wait to read the next one! Chosen. I've become a house of night obsessive, just like i was with twilight & i'm eagerly anticipating their next books.

Couldn't wait to finish - By: Ms. S. Morgan, 23 Jun 2008
Now, I hate those reviewers who just come online to slag off books but unfortunately I had to say something about this book. If you look at my past reviews you'll note that practicallly, if not alll, have been positive so this is not a usual thing for me to do.

I was reallly excited to read Betrayed as I had reallly enjoyed the fluent writing skills of the mother-daughter team & liked the characters - especiallly Erik,(yum). This book starts off great, despite the fact that Erik isn't in it for like 200 pages. Despite the fact that he is supposed to be Zoey's boyfriend she doesn't seem to be that interested in maintaining it & hardly thinks about him at alll, instead concentrating on two other guys in her life. When Loren came in, in addition to her human boyfriend, I wanted to throw the book down & stop reading. Unfortunately i'm one of those die-hard readers that feel compelled to finish a book.

There are many things in this book that didn't make sense to me, such as why the Casts have dipped to low standards in writing in one of the most increasingly popular plot devices - the other guy. A lot of books are doing this nowadays - writing in another guy so that the heroine can't decide which one to have. This infuriates me as it is such a cheap trick & I just hate it. That could have had a lot to do with why I couldn't wait to finish the book. Amazon.com reviewers, however, seem to agree with me. If you liked Marked you should probably read this book to judge for yourself for there seems to be an equal number of hates/loves.

I found this book to be a poor echo of the first book which I enjoyed so much & only gave it 2 stars as the writing style was still adequate. I feel very mean stating this as there is nothing worse than a bad review but if you want to buy this book I think you should weigh up reviews & then decide. Good luck.

Having defeated her arch-nemesis in the previous book, MARKED, Zoey should be on top of the world. But she's got the nagging feeling in the back of her mind that something's drasticallly wrong. At first, she thinks it could be alll the stress she's under from her first ritual she's planning, or maybe the various boys in her life. She admits she's worried about the boys from her old school who have turned up missing.

Then Zoey witnesses a conversation between Aphrodite & Neferet that leaves her breathless. Now Zoey's scared.

Zoey needs her friends more than ever, but she's not too sure whom she can trust.

The mother-daughter team of P.C. & Kristin Cast creates another suspenseful tale with a down-to-earth character blessed with magical powers. Fans of the Stephenie Meyer books are sure to gobble up this series.
