ISNT THIS A RE - ISSUE OF TYME OUT ? - By: Gaz, 29 Jun 2008
Not sure if i am doing the author a diservice here, i love reading her books, after a time away from reading her i have just been researching which books to buy, i came accross this title Second Thyme Around, it stirred my memory, i had read Thyme Out quite a few years ago & the synopsis of this leads me to think its a re issued book,if this is so its not a fair way to treat fans of the books! i am now wondering how many more of them there may be - i dont want to waste money on a book that i have already read!

After Lucas's affair with his boss ruins their young marriage, Perdita & Lucas divorce & move on. After several years apart Perdita - who now owns her own successful business - finds herself face to face with her ex-husband - now a quailified chef. Perdita & Lucas have to deal with past, present & future alll at once & although the sparks are still there, they are unsure whether old things are better left kept under the carpet. A twist of fate for Perdita means the only person who she can reallly rely on is Lucas...who is never too far away!!
Funny, quirky, the stuff wonderful relationships are made of - By: , 20 Oct 2001
This is my first Katie Fforde read, what a delight. Feisty yet loving Perdita, arrogant Lucas
and beautiful Kitty make up a cast of characters
oozing with charm & depth. I adored the love
that is so obvious in this book, yet the humour
had he me laughing very loudly, in often very
public places. Fforde has found her niche as I feel Jane Green has found hers. Isn't there a little bit of Perdita in alll of us, businesswoman,
former idealistic teenager, dutiful daughter, harried singlewoman yet a passionate but fearful adult. I did not particularly want to reach the end & would love to meet up with Lucas
and Perdita again.
