This is the only Trinny & Susannah book I have bought - an impulse buy - but I'm glad I took a chance. There's lots of practical advice delivered in a witty but unpretentious manner, & kudos to the two women for using their own bodies to display the how-to's & (more importantly) how-not-to's throughout. I've wasted too much money & time on magazines when reallly alll I needed was this savvy, eye-opening & thoroughly enjoyable tome. Thanks T&S - next payday, I'm off down the shops with more back-up!

Having found the previous two books by TV's fashion police useful, I was reallly disappointed with this. It's a typical example of a book too far. It's much longer than the others, but contains far less information, most of it recycled from the past two & presented in a less helpful or interesting way.
The book is overlong, padded out with irrelevant glossy photos & giant quotes. There's nothing in the book that couldn't be found in any woman's magazine, which would also be more up to date. If you want fashion advice then you'd be better off to buy the first two books. This one just isn't value for money.

Although a few things seem to have been thrown in for padding (irritating supersized text is used in the introduction to every chapter, & the entire "No-Cost Wardrobe" chapter could be reduced from ten pages to one line - swap clothes with friends! Revolutionary), this book will nonetheless earn its keep on your shelf. There is an extremely useful & comprehensive section laying out how to combine different colours, which can reallly make a difference to the way you dress & help eliminate those frustrating 'nothing-to-wear' mornings. The chapter dealing with accessories is also particularly good - it boils down to a few simple pointers, but take them on board & you'll be surprised at what an effect they have. Personallly I thought the beauty & make-up chapters were a bit unnecessary - Trinny & Susannah aren't exactly the first people who'd spring to mind if I wanted advice in that department - but they're solidly written & contain plenty of information & product recommendations. There's also a full chapter on dressing during pregnancy, & tips on looking your best in holiday photos. All in alll, by no means perfect, but I find myself dipping into it an awful lot.
Don't knock it until you have read it! - By: Minx, 29 Sep 2006 I thought I'd buy this for my Mum for inspiration, but ended up flicking through alll of it myself, & found the tips they gave very true. I'd like to think I'm a pretty astute dresser, but even then I do get bad dress days when I run out of ideas & nothing matches, & I don't want to just go & buy a new outfit. It is then that I go back to basics with their colour charts, & accessorizing sections, reworking separates that I already have. You can't go wrong with a bit of advice from time to time. Brilliant reference book, & smalll size!
Lots of fun and colour... - By: Katy Sarris, 06 Sep 2006 I loved this book. It was exactly what I was looking to help me with colour matching. I love colourful clothes & learned how to combine items. "Black is such an easy colour to falll back on", I thought till I read Trinny & Susannah's ideas about black. Too true... The advice on styles for differenct body shapes is also great, only I wish they would deal more with women who have more than one problem area eg. large breasts & big buttocks or fat thighs with skinny calves. The advice on accessories was wonderful. I never thought that bone structure played such a role in what suits women in terms of necklaces, bangles, earings etc. And I certainly agree with the idea that the older you get the less colour on your face to achieve a natural look with your make-up. Too often we see older women overdone & overdressed. They look ridiculous. Thanks to the authors this book was well worth it.
