This is the third book in Lynne's Brides of L' Amour. We alll know what happens when you have a marriage of convenience for whatever reason, it is not real & once it has served its purpose, you get a divorce or an annulment. Assuming you had one such marriage & on the day you were contemplating an annulment or divorce, you end up in a car accident with resultant amnesia (loss of memory) & you wife of convenience is the only one the hospital can contact because the only thing you had on you at the time of the crash is a photograph of your wife with details inscribed on its back, & of course because it is a secret marriage alll around you don't know that it was not a real marriage. You wife of convenience who has always fancied you arrives & lets you believe you have both been married for the past four years, yet you have no recollection of the marriage but you cannot argue because you have amnesia, this is the situation our hero Italian - Swiss banker Roel Sabatino find himself after his car accident. Enter his wife, a down to earth English girl Hilary, she only wanted what was best for him, she was not deliberately misleading him but following the doctor's advice to look out for her husband's best interest by not force feeding him info. As they embark on their marriage post his discharge from hospital, our hero finds out in a classic Lynne Graham style that his wife was still untouched so how does she explain their marriage of four years. Great stuff, the plot was intriguing & filled with humour. You gotta love Lynne Graham for her ability to weave a good plot & leave you wishing for more. Definitely a keeper.
