Highly Respected? - By: , 10 Nov 2004
Reallly just a below average book in regards to college studies compared to other college textbooks, in regards to nuclear engineer textbooks, there are some that are a lot better. Should be titled 'Lamarsh ERRata' for alll the errors in the 3rd edition. I find it a confusing text, as do alll the others in my classes, even the teacher had qualms about using it.
Excelent book for the non-nuclear engineer - By: , 19 May 1998
A great book to self-teach nuclear engineering. Oriented to the advanced student of physics, or the engineer. Starts with a review of particle physics & modern physic basics, ending in the design of nuclear reactors, safety procedures & effects of radiation on living organisms.
