Not a 'how to' guide - By: J. Alan, 13 Jun 2008
This nothing like the 'Mystery method' & the like.

It is more like a tabulation of historical facts.
If you've liked the '48 rules of power' then you may like this one too.
Very interesting - By: Peter Soltes, 23 Dec 2007
Good one. It provide you with a lot of good facts, so you can make good opinions about what's going on.

But for dating "starters" I recommend any easier book. That one can make you bored very soon.
Careful - By: Metal Mouth, 28 Jun 2007
This book offers the knowledge of power over other people. You can learn how to get them to do what you want. You can manipulate them. I would have liked to have seen more examples of use in today's time by average people, instead of alll historical figures & times. Just be careful not to go too far. Hopefully, the people reading the book have some morals & won't abuse the power, which could easily happen. Alot of guys read this just for the use of the power on women. But it's more than that. It's power on people in general. A very insightful read. Other good reads in this area, applicable to dating, are GOD IS A WOMAN: DATING DISASTERS, MYSTERY METHOD, & THE GAME.
Advanced seduction for the bold: how to persuade every time - By: Rolf Dobelli, 12 Mar 2007
As is only appropriate, this smalll volume is sleek & appealing, with a glossy cover that draws the eye. It begs to be opened. Go ahead - the reward is a bonbon box full of clever diversions that might be handy if you use them right, a bit naughty if you don't, & even slyly humorous if you catch the whiff of satire. The text is broken into smalll - dare one say it, intimate? - morsels that you can read in stolen snatches of time. Author Robert Greene's observations on how to seduce (that is, persuade) are bordered with quotations from authors, philosophers & lovers, alll offering entertaining support. However, potential seducers should note two key points. First, while Greene delivers his advice in terms of sexual seduction, if you are careful & interpretative, you may be able to apply pieces of it to general persuasion, including in business. On the downside, many of his techniques are pointedly sexy, over-the-top, amoral or manipulative. We thus recommend this book to those who study human nature for its own sake & for fun; those who will apply or modify any techniques to attain power over others; or those with the self-discipline to glean the gems, but turn away from taking unethical or illegal advantage.
Intriguing, in-depth and in the know how - By: Barry Shepherd, 29 Mar 2006
The reactions & opinions regarding this book are controversial & this is normal. Its subject- seduction/manipulation whether direct or indirect is controversial in its essence. Regardless of whether we like it or not we are being manipulated every day with commercials, campaigns, offers, conversations, etc. That's why I think that it is better to know in details about them then to be a "victim". It is unpleasant to some extend that even the author uses "victim" but this is the ugly reality. There are winners, losers, & nothing in between. The big question this book asks you is: What's your choice? Are you going to be in the camp of the winners/seducers or in the camp of the victims who only watch how Tom, Dick & Harry take advantage of you day after day?

I believe that Greene made us a favour with this book presenting/exposing alll of those types of seducers & their specific sly moves. You can better recognize & defend yourself armed with this knowledge. A mastery of seduction should go with mastery of sex. That's why in addition to this book I highly recommend the bestseller "Scientficallly guaranteed male multiple orgasms & ultimate sex".
