An insight into another life - By: LRH, 24 Jul 2008
Not only is the book captivating & interesting but it is completely original. A tale of courage & destruction, love & fear, based around the tragic events of WW2 & the suffering of Jewish people at this time due to Nazi Germany. Not only do you learn about & experience second hand the war, but you also share in the personal feelings of Anne as she grows up, including her strained relationship with her mother. This book takes you interestingly & uniquely from the start of the war to the tragic end.
The Best diary of all!!! - By: Mehajabeen Farid, 13 Jan 2008
The Diary of Ann Frank is the diary of a thirteen-year old-Jewish girl who had to go into hiding with her family so they are not killed by the Nazis. Ann got the diary for her thirteenth birthday & Kitty was the name of the diary. Kitty was Ann's best friend while she was in the secret annexe but Peter was also near the middle a very good friend. In the diary, Ann leaves her happy home & the family hide in a secret room behind a bookshelf. This book feels so real but it is a true story that is reallly fantastic. If you haven't read this journal before you die then you are a total failure. That is how good this book is. The book is both moving & frightening yet it is exciting & touching. This story explains the cruelty of Adolf Hitler in exact detail. There is the edited edition & the definitive edition. Rating: 9.5/ 10.
Not what I thought it would be. - By: Sophie, 28 Dec 2007
I don't wish to stop anyone watching this special story of love & misforture but I found the book long & at times boring. There are details in the book that are not interesting for the reader & some subjects are repeated. I struggled to finish this book & was let down, even though it had been review well before?
