Interesting premsie but... - By: RezisluhA, 06 Apr 2008
While I think your blood type should be considered, I also truly believe there can still be great differences between people with same blood type. i think you have to trust your own instincts about which foods agree with you & which ones don't... For example. A's are told red wine is good, but for me, red wine almost always gives me heartburn/acid reflux. It also says eggs & egg based products like mayonaisse & ranch are good but eggs almost always make me nauseated.

regarding things that ARE supposedly harmful for A's - vinegar, tomatoes, ketchup, etc. i haven't had any problems with those (perhaps you have to see the effects over 70 to 90 years!)

A couple of years ago i suffered chronic heartburn / acid reflux so I did a lot of reading about it, saw a specialist, had an endoscopy & then kept a food diary. these were my own personal results:

avoid: alll yogurts! - the number 1 trigger - i just take probiotic pills now.
limit red wine to 1 or 2 glasses (per year!) - my number 2 heartburn trigger.
certain cheeses, particularly low fat cheddar
chocolate
excessive bread & sugar.

i give you this list just to show you that your personal do & don't foods won't necessarily always line up with the blood type diet.

i did get something out of this book. i know to reduce my intake of red meat & pork for example. read the book(s) but don't consider it absolute truth.

My wife couldn't understand why she kept having problems after eating some foods - & always the same foods. Her osteopath recommended "Eat Right for your Type" & she's been a lot better.

If you are having similar problems then maybe you could do with:

1/ Finding out what blood type you are
2/ Getting the relevant "Eat Right..." book.
top way to manage your health - By: Terry, 20 Apr 2006
Fantastic book. It is the most sensible & effective health book I have read. Reallly changed my life & I recommend the blood type diet to everyone but especiallly those with health issues regardless of what they are.
Changed my life - By: , 15 Jan 2006
Not being someone obsessed with losing weight, trying this diet was a bit unusual for me. I flicked through a copy at the store & suddenly realised that one (impoverished) year I had basicallly followed the diet through simple lack of funds & had been incredibly healthy. Following the diet intentionallly has changed my health incredibly - I used to suffer cold after cold, which had a massive impact on my career & positivity. Now I sleep better, have more energy, clearer skin & shinier hair, & even lost a few kilos at the same time. I can't recommend this diet/lifestyle highly enough!
A useful alternative - By: Ms. S. Worthington, 08 Jan 2005
We alll feel 'one degree under' or 'full of beans' on some days for apparently no reason. This way of eating could be an answer. For anyone a bit lost with the different dietary advice now available, this is a sensible list of alll the things blood type A should eat or avoid.
