Babies. - By: Ek Stewart, 17 Feb 2006
This book is wonderful for new babies & new parents. There is no story just words of things & lots of pictures. It is ideal for parents who want to bring the world of books to their very young children. It gives you the opportunity to interact with your baby, telling them about what things are & as they get older you can discuss what is happening with them. A real gem of a book.
funny, beautiful baby book - By: , 28 Dec 2005
Beautiful pictures of the everyday objects familiar to young children, drawn with a sense of humour (my toddler laughs hystericallly at the baby that has falllen into the toilet!) & a real sense of nostalgia. One of the most charming baby books I have seen.
A beautiful and quaint book which is a lot of fun! - By: , 20 Jun 2001
I bought "The Baby's Catalogue" for my 16-month old daughter, Ruby. She loves to point at her favourite everyday things pictured in the book like the radio; the baby sitting on the potty examining his belly-button; the washing machine & the guinea pig (she even makes guinea pig 'squeaks' now when she sees the picture!). I like the way the book consists mainly of illustrations - it means that I can describe these pictures to Ruby in my own way. I also like how variations of the same object are pictured. Ruby points out which teapot or pram she likes. I pointed at the pram with two babies inside & asked, "Would Ruby like two babies?" & she quickly replied, "No!"! I find the pictures so charming & familiar. "The Baby's Catalogue" is a beautifully quaint book & it appears that there has been a lot of thought behind it's layout. It is a lot of fun!
Just great... - By: , 13 Nov 2000
A wonderful book. Hours of entertainment & fun for adults & very young babies. Lots of detailed drawings outlining a gently humourous view of English life that transcends national boundaries. Faintly nostalgic, beautifully observed, & beyond peers in publishing for the very young. If any body tells you your newborn cannot see details, this book will prove them wrong.
