This is an essential read for every child. As a trainee teacher I use this book a lot with the children, & it always gets thumbs up from them. Not only do children adore this book but adults love it just as much!!!!
best ever poetry - By: , 07 Sep 2003
I loved this book as a 6 year old, but it's even better now I can laugh at just how true (dog in the playground is classic kid behaviour) it is, & it also wins nostalga brownie points. Everybody should read these poems.
Oh memories - By: , 06 Jul 2003
I was introduced to this book by my English Teacher when i was 10 years old-I loved it then. Now after re-reading it, I remember why I loved it, the memories of my whole class sitting round the table hearing these short poems brings back many happy school memories...I would encourage anyone to get this book, read them to children that are of school age, I am sure they will recognise many of the situations found in this book.
One of my favourite poem books to date. - By: peacefromtheeast@hotmail.com, 01 Apr 2002
I first read this book when I was about 7 or 8 & at school, & loved it immediately. My favourite verse was the one that was sung to the tune of 'When A Night Won His Spurs' - one of my favourite school assembly songs. It still makes me giggle now at 23! Lots of fun & a great read for young & old alike.
