Extremely useful if what you need are the basic facts. - By: , 08 Jun 1999
I have used this book to help me through my degree course, & I couldn't have done so without it. It provides so much useful, basic information it will be invaluable to anyone studying suicide. It is very well referenced, so that you can follow the "links" to get access to almost alll the information you need. It provides a good historical background, & lots of information on the motivation to commit suicide. The psychodynamic section was great, helping me to understand Freud......it alll seems so obvious now. Read together with Gavin Fairbairn's "Contemplating Suicide" it can expand you knowledge without having to spend too much time in the library.
