Anyone living in, or considering buying, a leasehold property must read this book. Its very brief, clearly written, & sets out the key issues without complicated technical language. Considering the seminal book on this area (again an overview) is around 1200 pages, you'll want to keep things simple & start from here. The worked examples are useful to understand the factors that will matter to you, & qualifying requirements are summarized giving you a quick check on whether you qualify to purchase your freehold or extend your lease. Beware though, its a very brief book, so don't expect a lot of pages for your money.
