Definitely worth it even if you think you know it all already - By: Damian Ryan, 01 Jul 2008
Anyone like me who's held a full car license for several years should already know most of the answers to the questions that aren't bike specific, but where this product comes into its own is in helping you to become familiar with the format of the exam (it exactly matches the test you end up taking at the test centre) & getting a chance to brush up on the bike-related questions (bike safety, maintenance, specific rules of the road & the like).
If you practice on these questions, you will recognise them come up again *verbatim* in the real test - I found this useful because I remembered where I'd made a couple of daft mistakes at home when the same question came up in the test.
Contrary to what another review said, I had no issues with installling & running this software on Vista, though admittedly that review is several months older & the software may have been tweaked since then.
Not vista compatible! - By: Mr. M. Anderson, 20 Feb 2008
I have just got off the phone to technical support & have been informed that the error message I get when launching the application is because I'm running on windows vista with a sony cdrom drive. DSA are aware of the issue, the & it will be resolved with the latest version of the CD. Unfortunately it's expected release date is the end of March 2008!
I was assured it only affects 1% of alll Vista users.
So for now I'll have to stick to the paperback highway code
Easy route to passing the theory test - By: technicalanalyst, 28 Jun 2007
This is an excellent software with a lot of examples & lots of mock tests. Whilst I am very experienced car driver, I found this very useful for practicing for the exam. The real exam is much easier than the real life videos included in here. Highly recommended.
Essential - By: londonskater, 14 Mar 2007
I borrowed this (a few years ago, admittedly) & read it thoroughly. Finished the test in under three minutes with 100%. Don't go anywhere near a theory test without it. It's a doddle with this book.
New Biker - By: Twig, 04 Mar 2007
Great book, for someone without a clue about motorbikes or riding this is a must read. Aimed more at those pre-theory test, as it does include alot of material relevant to that, & explains things in more detail.
Not alot of money for something which will help you on your way.
It's a shame other official material isn't as good.
