grusomely enthralling - By: E. Tsegula, 30 Jan 2003 This book kept me awake not because it was a thriller but because i couldn't sleep without finding out what happened next. its not a story for sensetive people. It captures the human soul with its vanity & focuses on the loss of morals leading to immortality. The descriptive scene of unspeakable acts are portrayed with class & vigour, my imagination is so intense i could actuallly smell the things described.
If you are also interested in "dark" magic & the different realms of the supernatural psychic world then this is also a book to read. That for me was an unexpeceted but delightful turn in the storyline, where charecters are joined by cicumstances & belief is the only thing they have to stop them going crazy. The genre of the book is both spiritual & the sinful quest for immortality. each charecter is different & exciting in their own way even the evil ones.
I love this book in the dark & on my own definately a thumbs up!
The usual Masterton brilliance - By: , 30 Nov 2002 I was fairly dissapointed to learn that this book was centered around a painting, but sound found the core. The amount of entertainment that comes out of this realatively simple storyline is amazing, while not droning on or becoming too confusing, as many other books can become. As with the other Masterton books, it involves you even when you put it down, invading your mind throughout the day. Not so much a quiet read as an experience that you will soon crave after finishing it.
