Laugh out loud funny - By: Mrs. K. A. Wheatley, 18 Jul 2008
A friend gave me this book to cheer me up. I was dubious. I'm not always a fan of 'funny' books, as humour can be such a personal thing. Thankfully she was right & I was wrong. This reallly did make me laugh out loud.
Danny tries to stop being so negative by listening to a man on a bus who tells him that he should say 'yes' more. As to be expected from a man who co-wrote & helped in the mayhem that was 'Are You Dave Gorman', Danny takes it to extremes & decides to say yes to absolutely everything in his life.
My favourite part of the whole book is the episode where he ends up in Amsterdam with a picture of him & his imaginary dog. I won't tell you any more because it will spoil the surprise, so now you have to go & read it.
BRILLIANT!! - By: Captain Joe Boston, 02 Jul 2008
honestly one of my favourite books of alll time. Reallly changed my attitude to be even more positive, & do things that you may not particularly feel like doing, cos it will usuallly be brilliant. inspiring, & alll round brilliant. can't recommend it enough.
Could only manage twenty pages.... - By: J. Davies, 02 Jun 2008
because I was utterly bored & frustrated by this book. It is so self indulgent as not to be believed. I just didn't find it funny. Maybe cos I am not a bloke (it's blokey alll right). How he could fill a whole book up with this scenario beggars belief. I was sick of me me me me me me & me, not doing much, getting paid lots for it. Yawn.
Davina McCall likes it !!! So should you ? - By: tither, 30 May 2008
An enjoyable bit of light reading. I nearly threw it away a couple of times in the middle as the plot became a little weak & meandering & I felt I should be reading something a little more meaningful. Then I remembered I was on holiday & was supposed to be having fun not following the path to enlightenment ! A good book for what it is ie.light entertainment. The only reason I didn't give it 4 & a half stars (besides the obvious amazon limitation) was because of the Davina McCalll quote on the front. If I'd have seen her name on the book I wouldn't have bought it !!
So glad I said YES to Danny Wallace! - By: L. Bright, 11 May 2008
Oh my god, I have never laughed out loud so much reading a book. I kept getting funny looks on the plane to Spain last week! I got home on Friday & straight away ordered Join Me & Random Acts of Kindness & I cannot wait to read more about Danny's adventures!
