Helped me greatly - By: steph, 10 Nov 2007
FINALLY, my Son was diagnosed at aged 5, i have read many books before the diagnosis- with a strong history in the family & the huge difference between him & my other children, I was advised to read this by the Paed. Reading this is like reading a book based on my son, for any parent, I have also recommended it to friends that children do not have problems to highlight struggles these children have. I have also recommended it to friends of friends whose favourite hobbies are to 'tut' & judge. A good read.

Understanding ADHD: PArent's Guide to understanding ADHD in Children - By: Mrs. Sarah J. Telfer, 30 Jan 2007
I couldn't believe it, I found a book written about my son. He was diagnosed with ADHD in 2003 & I was told about this book by the consultant. It is full of useful advice. What works & what doesn't, & helps us to feel competant able parents again. He can't help his behaviour & we can with support live a reasonably 'normal' life.
I would thoroughly recommend that any parent or carer whith a child who has ADHD reads this book.
Understanding ADHD: Parent's Guide to Attention Deficit Hype - By: , 12 Oct 2004
A must read for anyone who knows or suspects their child has ADHD. The book is wrote in a very informative but easy to read way. It includes brilliant tips on how to control an ADHD child & also how to understand them.

7 years ago I read "Toddler Taming" by the same author & first began to suspect that my daughter had ADHD after reading his chapter on the condition. Now it has been extended to cover an entire book. Handled with wit, charm & an easy style, "Understanding ADHD" is the perfect book for those approaching the subject for the first time. The humourous illustrations & descriptions of typical daily frustrations for the ADHDer, show the whole family that someone else understands! A good read.
