dull - By: S. Damoglou, 28 Nov 2006
This is a dull book to read. It was scoped as useful for managers- but I found it aimed at professional coaches. Havent used anything I read in it. Will probably ebay it. Save your money & take your team out for a drink instead!
A fantastic resource for coaches - By: , 25 Feb 2004
This book is a remarkably comprehensive resource for coaches. It examines the nature of change as well as the role of the coach as a change agent. It clearly articulates the stages of the coaching process. There is a wealth of assessments & profiles, numerous practical coaching techniques & importantly, the authors discuss the role of the coach's personality. Techniques & how to use them range from self-awareness exercises, problem-solving techniques & journallling. It is research-based,thorough & very readable. Highly recommended!.
Extremely resourceful, very accessible and practical book - By: , 25 Feb 2004
Many coaching books tell us what we should be doing but not many supply us with valid methodologies & techniques to use. This book is brimming with models, techniques, assessments & procedures to conduct coaching sessions. The information is well researched & practical & the book is extremely well-written. It is a 'must' for practising coaches, regardless of their coaching specialty or whether they are working within an organization or have their own coaching practice.
