I'm an electrical power engineer & recently I had the need to get a book on this subject - powerplant engineering. I've search for several boooks & found this one. I got it & I won't let go... This is reallly a very good source if you need a general knowledge about any of the components & systems that make up a powerplant & also it gives you understanding on several types of technologies, for generating electrical energy.
It doesn't go into much technical detail (I guess for that you have specialty books), but gives a good knowledge on each subject it covers. I'm not giving it five stars because I think it should cover in more detail, combined cycle & cogeneration powerplants. Taking that, this is a must buy.
