If you have been reading books for beginners & you want to improve your skills, this is the book for you. You must know alll the the basics, such as RSI & others oscillators, price patterns & have a general knowledge of economic environment.
All the informations are based on experiences & not just on theory; you will learn to watch the market from a different point view: just like a professional, rather than a part-time incompetent.
I have applied the informations contained in this book to short-term trading and, using others skills i learnt in the past, 75% of the operations i make are in profit!
All the explanations are very clear, so this book is perfect also for people whose mother tongue is not english.

Ms. Browns book will open your eyes to new ways to analyze common indicators, while she also reveals some very powerful propietary indicators. The book contains a wealth of new information & is a must read for any serious student of technical analysis..
Excellent contribution to subject of technical analysis - By: , 07 Jun 1999 Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional is a book that I keep close at hand when I am preparing to trade. It's alllowed me to look at the use & application of alll indicators: oscillators, moving averages, trendlines etc., in entirely new ways. Although the book is advertised as being for the "Trading Profesional" the material is presented in such a thorough way that any serious student will gain much useful knowledge from the pages. If you are a follower of Elliott, Gann or Fibonacci analysis the information provided is a new slant on practical & very useful application of those theories. Its one of the books in my financial library that I recommend as an absolute "must read".
Amazed - By: , 06 Jun 1999 Amazed that the author reveals so much new techniques/ideas for US$49 dollar. I have to pay much for my library of books/course & realise now that I pay for junks. If I have this earlier it will cut my learning years.
In-depth technical study marred by deceitful marketing ploy - By: , 29 May 1999 
The book cover jacket states,"Look into this book for: A custom composite index formula that will diverge against RSI.." This is also stated on the back cover & with front cover chart examples. Unfortunately the author reneges on this claim in the body of this book only to show the potential of the indicator & direct the reader to her web site that charges $5500.00 for a few select traders to whom she will reveal this information. I have no problem with technicians keeping their proprietary studies to themselves, but this book deceitfully makes an offer, accepts payment & does not deliver. This seems to me like a deceptive marketing ploy that mars what is an obviously perceptive & in-depth study of technical indicators in the futures industry. It is suprising that the renowned George C. Lane would give this his Foreward & support.
