Weird...but Good - By: , 03 Aug 2000
This book was weird, but good. It took me a while to understand. Francesca Lia Block has wrote this book in a sort of fantasy way, not a realistic way, which made the book a good read since it was different from others.
a brilliant read - By: , 04 May 2000
i loved this book so much, because it was so dufferent. Violets character was reallly strong whereas clairs was scared & frightend...an excellant book.
An amazing book that u have 2 read. - By: , 29 Apr 2000
Violet & Claire is about a beautiful friendship torn apart. Violet is a screenwriter, Claire is a fairy wing wearing poet. Together they make the perfect friendship, until success, love & L.A tear them apart. This book will break your heart & put it back together again.
barbies, faeries and bleakness - By: , 19 Feb 2000
i thought that violet & claire was one of the most beautifully written books i have ever read. it focuses on the lives of two girls living in L.A. it is very surreal & you feel like you are reading a dream & the person hasn't woken up. This book is nothing you would expect from a teenage novel. It has passion, but not love & aching & longing & ambition. The only critical remark i can make is that it wasn't long enough. I wanted it never to end.
