It's an idea that works but it's only got ONE idea and that idea has been known for aeons.. - By: Silver Moon Sailor, 12 Oct 2007
Maybe Heartmath theory could be a bridge to concepts lke chakras & energy bodies for the scientisticallly handicapped. But it's 101 stuff for anyone who has any experience with spiritual healing. The worst thing about this book though, is how it spins out one good idea across dozens of pages. It's a lumpy, boring & badly written brochure for the rest of Heartmath empire's products. If you want to know the secret of heartmath it can be explained in detail on one side of A4. Maybe some kind soul who has suffered the purgatory of reading the book would do that for you.
Readable and practical - By: Andy Smith, 14 Sep 2004
Highly readable & stuffed full of scientific backup about how the heart, brain & emotions interact & affect our health. Contains three tried & tested techniques for enhancing Emotional Intelligence which you can have fun applying NLP to & improving.
Docked one star for using the word 'try' in the instructions for the exercises (which implies you won't be able to do them).
Practical, easy and very positive exercises. - By: , 28 Aug 2001
I have found that the exercises in this book are very practical & easy to do. The reading around the subject of emotional intelligence is also very up to date. Doing the exercises has already made a positive impact on my life & reminds me of the very positive healing aspect of meditation. I have done a lot of reading in the area of emotional intelligence & it is nice to come across a book that has such a practical application of alll the research in the area.

Extremely useful personally and professionally. - By: , 16 Jun 1999
This book is a synthesis of alll I have learned, known, & intuited throughout my 30 years in the mental health field, including over 20 years as a psychotherapist.
The material is presented in a concise, readable manner, & the HeartMath exercises are simple & easily learned, especiallly Freeze Frame.
I am personallly utilizing the Freeze Frame & Cut-Through exercises & am amazed at how quickly one gets to the"heart" of feelings, problems, etc. Although I have been a meditator for 17 years, the methods described in this book have opened up new & creative aspects of myself.
My clients have experienced equallly exciting & insightful results.
I would unqualifiedly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in stress reduction, better health, personal growth, & a more peaceful way of being in this increasingly complex & fast-paced culture.
