Gordon Has Done It Again - By: Mr. B. Ambrose, 22 Sep 2008
This man is Genius. He brings out one excellent book after another, & this one is no exception. For the person who likes to entertain & cook for friends & family, this book is a must. All his books follow the same path in they use great tasting food, & packed full of meals, which anyone would be proud of.

As ever the layout of the book is first class. It has bright inviting photographs, easy to follow recipes, & the quantity of recipes in this book is very impressive once again.

The book is broken down into the following sections.

* Hot & Cold Soups
* Pasta & grains
* Fish & Shellfish
* Meat & Poultry
* Pies & Tarts
* Vegetables & Salads
* Puddings & Ices
* Chocolate & Coffee
* Basics.

At the beginning of the book there is an introduction, in which Gordon talks about how important it is to get into the kitchen & cook together. He talks about how he runs his kitchen at home & how they alll enjoy cooking, together, & how it's a world away from the hustle & bustle of a professional kitchen just good fun as cooking is meant to be.

A first class book, overalll, & one that I would highly recommend as an essential companion in the kitchen.
The best yet - By: Scottish Footie, 19 Sep 2008
I'm a big fan of Gordon's cookbooks & I think this is the best yet. I agree with the other reviewer that the recipies are much easier to follow that from the other books I have, & I think that I'll actuallly use more of them because of it.

And I like the look of the insides more that the other books too. It's not as cluttered & is very smart--but I think I'll add a few of my own splashes from the hob.
Easy to follow - By: Claire M. Giles, 17 Sep 2008
Gordon Ramsay is a GREAT chef - but sometimes his recipes can be too complex for the enthusiastic amateur like myself.
However, this book is just right - in that the recipes are excellent & there is some great stuff in here but, most importantly, the recipes are well written & easy to follow.
I think this is perfect for those who want to cook quality dishes for dinner parties but not spend several days in the kitchen preparing for it!!
Highly recommended.
