I bought this book having already owned the Collins Complete British Wildlife Photoguide & finding I needed something more comprehensive. I was not disappointed - the book is well laid out with clear photos & plants grouped together by family. There is also a glossary & brief but clear guides to leaves, fruits & seeds & an flower identification guide. Using photographs rather than drawings also helps with identification.

A very clear & easy-to-use guide that should be perfect for anyone like me who is not an expert in botany but wants a detailed guide that makes identification simple & easy.

Im a student studying conservation biology. This books perfect, not to big & can easily be taken out in the field. Great photos & backed up by good descriptive texts & the occasional handy identification drawings of leaves & stems etc for those more difficult plants. This book wont be a dissapointment
