Forget kids, by it for yourself - By: C. North, 01 Jul 2008
This is one of the most gorgeous picture books I've ever come across. It's funny, easy to read & just lovely.
Never mind for infants...!!! - By: Fi, 08 Apr 2008
Never mind giving this book to children! I love it, it makes me smile every time I read it. I bought it for a friend who loves it too & it seems to be very popular because the shops never have it in for me to buy myself a copy (hurrah for amazon!!). delightful, charming, perfect.
utterly charming - By: Exhausted mother of Four, 29 Feb 2008
I read this to my children in an Australian accent, & they roll around laughing. I think they are partly laughing at how bad my accent is, but the book is endearing & very funny with the most appealing illustrations. It's wonderfully simple & a delight to alll my children aged 2,4 6 & 8.
They also love Josephine Loves to Dance by the same author & illustrator, but it doesn't have the same magical simplicity.
There is one problem, they now alll want a wombat for a pet, & having read the story, I KNOW that we don't!
Utterly adorable! - By: Lucy Chavannes, 24 Feb 2006
No other way of describing it, absolutely adorable. The illustrations of the wombat are unbelievably cute, a book you can read endlessly & enjoy it more every time., Will never fail to bring a smile to your face & make you melt inside. A wombat with an attitude she may be, but also engaging, endearing & an absolute gem.
Wonderful book, priceless illustrations! - By: Helen-Eva, 24 Jan 2006
I found this book by chance & was overwhelmed with how cute the wombat is. This is one of those books that parents won't mind reading to their children over & over again because it is simply adorable & comic at the same time. The diary format makes this the Bridget Jones of the wombat world!
