This book is pretty awesome, I couldnt put it down, I read it within a day, & the ending was such a suprise. This is a book I could deffinatley read again!

Darren proves himself again- the Vampire series was fabulous, but the Demonata series are... unspeakably amazing.
Grubbs Grady is the character in this book, & unlike some books, Lord Loss goes straight to the point- only one chapter is spent on the usual old 'I live with my parents & go to school & play footballl'.
On Chapter two (Or was it three?)
WHOOSH!
Instantly brought into a world of terror.
Grubbs discovers his Mum, Dad & Sisters heads torn off & killed by Demons Lord Loss, Vein & Artery.
I won't go any further than that- but I can tell you that this game has three key points:
Demons
Chess
Werewolves.
Buy this book- it's actuallly worth a heck of alllot more than £4.99 (Was that the price?)

Full of blood, guts & gore,I loved it from start to finish.I'm a big fan of Darren Shan & I'm happy that I read it.
Amazing!. - By: marky77, 04 Jan 2008 Wow, this book is so good!! I mean I've read the other Darren Shan Saga, Cirque De Freak, & I thought that was reallly good, but this was even better! It was so great, you couldnt imagine without actuallly reading it.
Straight away I loved the main charactor & the book is brilliant from the start (most of the action beginning from the end of the first chapter).
It's hard to decribe the plot without spoiling it because there are a lot of twists within th first few chapters alone, but basicallly it starts with Grubbs Grady (we never find out his age but he's aproximatly 13) sneaks home in the middle of thing night to find out that his family have been brutallly killed by a demon - Lord Loss - & his evil minions.
A BRILLIANT book by Darren Shan that I would highly reccomend, epeciallly if you enjoyed his Cirque De Freak Saga.
