The beggining of the end for Darren and co? - By: P. Watson, 10 Oct 2007
You'll be needing the hankies for this one!
The action is fairly non-stop in these three books.
Darren meets a few old friends, & foes. Also, the dying begins! Quite a few characters pop their clogs in these books . . . .
As well as the alll the action, there are many emotional moments & even a few funny ones!
Also, you begin to see what the heroes will need to sacarfise in order to 'save the world'.
If you liked the previous Darren books, then you'll love this!
Cripping but predictable - By: M. Tarboton, 04 May 2007
I have reallly enjoy the whole series up to & including this one. It's a reallly good story. Yes i couldn't put the book down. The only problem is that it's so obvious from book one who the enemy is.... & it dissapoints that the writer darren shan didn't make the identity of the enemy less obvious.....there i was reading. thinking..ohhhh ahhhh wow he is that enemy no way i would have never guessed.(sarcasm at it's best)

Putting that aside. I haven't enjoyed a story so much as the saga of darren shan... & yes i'm going out straight away to get the next trilogy.... because it's well worth the read...and i think it would make an excellent movie that would rival harry potter....they would have to tone down the blood though.

Awesome - By: , 03 Jun 2005
OK this book I bought with Vampire Rites, so the two blur into one another a little! This book is immensely exciting to read, & like alll good fantasy books, completely & utterly draws you into the world that Darren Shan has created. The plot twists are totallly, sometimes painfully unexpected, & the ending to Killers of the Dawn actuallly left me feeling like no book has ever left me. I won't give anything away obviously. You reallly shoud read Vampire Blood & Rites first, just so you get to know the character's history. But buy this, it is brilliant.
the best of most books! - By: Dr Ian Kennedy, 26 May 2005
this book is one of my top books yet, beaten only by the next darren shan. i am not reallly one for long reviews, but i hope that my message is clear; buy this book if you havn't already!
but only if you have read vampire blood & vampire rites trilogies (the prequels).
Great! - By: Cheryl, 20 Mar 2005
Such a great book, if you like the others then you will love this one. Makes you want the next & last one to come out in the trilogy!!

Darren goes back to school & meets an old flame, he meets who his friend Steve Leopard(Leonard & then his world fallls apart at the end.

Brilliantly written, keeps you gripped till you've finished! Just can't wait to read the end trilogy Vampire Destiny!
