Good read - By: , 19 Jun 2003
This was the second book I have read by Cathy Kelly, although it was not as good as Someone Like You, the book was enjoyable. I sometimes felt that the book dragged on a little bit & at times tired of some characters, such as Sam. However, I did enjoy it & I reallly liked Hope & was shocked by what she does. The book took a while to get into as it was not as light & easy as her previous book I have read. It is a perfect holiday read & Cathy Kelly fans will enjoy this one.
Utterly Boring - By: S. Richardson, 23 Apr 2003
I have read only one Cathy Kelly book before (Someone Like You) & reallly enjoyed it. The characters were good & it was overalll enjoyable reading. This one is completely boring. The characters are dull & uninteresting & the plot (if you can calll it a plot) could send you to sleep. I didn't even finish the book it was that bad. I would definitely think again before buying another Cathy Kelly.
Very Disappointing - By: , 18 Jun 2002
I was very disappointed with the plot & characters. I have read one book by the same author ("She's the One") & enjoyed then the insights & descriptions. This new book is riddled with cliches about career women, housewives, & widows. Don't buy it!!
Another great book by Cathy Kelly - By: , 15 Jun 2002
This is the second book I have read by Cathy Kelly & I was not disappointed. I did not want to put it down! When you first start reading this book, you wonder how Hope, Sam, Nicole & Virginia can alll be written about in one book but Cathy Kelly cleverly merges the four plots into one, making a brilliant ending. This book stirred up my emtotions & has prompted me to read more books by this brilliant author.
Excellent book - keeps the readers attention - By: lnaughton@virtus.ie, 20 Nov 2001
You need to keep focussed on this one as there are quite a number of characters but as you get into the book, you get the hang of them.
