Une petite merveille/ A jewel too - By: Pattepoilue, 21 Jul 2008
Engaging - By: Mink, 17 Jul 2008
I reallly enjoyed this. It's far more fast paced then I thought it would be so I never got bored with it, didn't want it to end. I don't know what the author did to create that effect other than it's just a well told story, the characters become very real & relatable. I would definitely recommend it as a great read, maybe not if you are a total history buffs as discrepancies will only annoy you.

G-d help us if people take this as history, what an abortion this is.
Captivating - By: D. A. Swallow, 04 Jul 2008
I read this book when I was in Dubia on holiday. Whether it was the heat or the fact that it was my own birthday, I'm sure. Nevertheless, the book was a fantastic read.
Though not true in the historical sense, I still think that this is one of the best books ever. I was also very emotionallly involved e.g. when Anne announced she was having Henry as HER son, I felt so much pain for Mary.
This is one of the best books EVER & is a joint favourite of mine with My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.
The real story is better. - By: Rebecca Harmer, 18 Jun 2008
I picked up 'The Other Boleyn Girl' expecting at least some degree of historical accuracy but ended up getting a rediculously farcical story that does not stick to the true complexities of Tudor court life.
What worries me most about Philipa Gregory is that her popularity and, admittedly excellent story-telling, have ended up spreading a totallly incorrect version of British history across the globe when actuallly, the real story behind the Boleyn Girls is exciting enough anyway!
I've read some of her other books & was concerned to find that actuallly 'The Other Boleyn Girl' is relatively truthful compared to novels such as 'The Constant Princess' which is full of blatent lies!
She should stick to story-telling & stop messing with our already spellbinding & gripping historical adventures.
