Here Flashman is whisked off to India, & somehow volunteers for a secret service mission in the court of the beautiful nyphomaniac Maharani. Our lovable rogue, Flashman, is jumping out of one bed & into another, & out of one frying pan & into another. Will he never learn!

Flashman & the Mountain of Light has plenty of intigue but, for long sections, lacks the pace & page-turning qualities of most of the other books in the series. I ended up skimming the last chapters.
Yet another true classic - By: tom@boltonweb.co.uk, 30 Apr 2000 I am nearly halfway through the collection & this one based on the great battles for northern India continuallly matches the detailed content & fast paced humour that has become a trademark for our Great British hero Flashman & of course George MacDonald Fraser. Start with the original Flashman novel & work through them to this, you will be most amused!
