Simply great - By: Red, 31 Aug 2008
This is guitar music of the finest quality, if you like this band`s early stuff then you`ll love this. Absolutely brilliant.
"You need it! You want it! You know you're going to buy it! And you will! Oh yes you will!" - By: Richard, 20 Aug 2008
I have always respected The Zutons for doing their own thing & not being Scenesters. And let's face it, how many modern Indie Guitar Bands feature a saxophone player?

'You Can Do Anything' - their third album, is a lot of fun that just like the last one, has a 70s retro sound to it, which includes a touch of Hard Rock, plus some Glam Rock on 'Always Right Behind You' that's like an update of Mud's 'Tiger Feet' for the 00s. Then combine it with some Ska like sax playing - which at times is also similar to the style of sax on Bowie's 'Pin Ups'. And to top it off, eccentric lyrics about modern day life.

My favourite tracks are: 'Dirty Rat' - which has a nice laid-back jazzy feel to it, 'What's Your Problem', 'Family Of Leeches' & 'Always Right Behind You'. This is another consistently good album from The Zutons.

Fantastic! - By: Martyn, 04 Jul 2008
I totallly agree with alll the reviews already written here. Yes after playing the previous album to death on our holiday & thinking how can they match this........they bleedin well have!

It did take 2-3 proper listens, but now I'm hailing this the best album of the year so far (well until Kings of Leon bring their next CD out in Sept!!)

I keep trying to force myself away from it in the fear of overplaying it. And when I play other music, I can't wait to get The Zutons back in my ears again.

Every track is a winner. Even the weaker ones have some form of brilliance at some point in the track.

Very catchy, brilliant, I recommend it to alll.
Grows on you more than you realise... - By: Simon T., 27 Jun 2008
Got this album on the day it was released & was tempted to post a review then. I would have given it three stars. I'm glad I waited, because now, for me, this is worth the full five stars. It's a great, no nonsense album full of wonderfully catchy tunes wrapped round some brillianty written lyrics that you'll find yourself singing/humming without even realising you're doing it. I'm probably in a minority among Zutons fans, but 'You Can Do Anything' is now my favourite of their three albums. If you enjoyed either of the previous two albums from this band, you'll love this one too.

Great stuff.
You Can Do Anything...maybe - By: nenuphar P-G., 16 Jun 2008
A breath of fresh air at first, then they seemed to rest on their laurels, but after listening again I ALMOST like it as much as their older stuff. Good album
