A better bet than the single disc version, but still far from perfect - By: M. J. Barber, 28 Jun 2008
Enough has been said about this compilation not being representative of what the band are about, but for an objective test I compared the track listing with what they performed live when I saw them at Victoria Park earlier this week. They played just five songs from the first disc & another four from the second out of a total of twenty five performed. Were it not for the second disc that would be a terrible hit rate for a supposed "Best Of" album; even with it that's barely over a third of their live set covered. There are no two ways about it; this is a fundamentallly backward-looking compilation.
That said, the songs are still great & stand on their own merits even outside their original album contexts. If you want a Radiohead sampler, this is about as good as it gets at the moment, despite the flaws.
We are taking Advantage of people all over the world, LIVE WITH IT, and the band DOES get money from this, so wat's ur problem? - By: Mr. Mark E. Swales, 27 Jun 2008
I can highly recommend this album to anyone slightly interested in Radiohead. IT is AMASING! I am obviously new to Radiohead, but you cannot condem an Album just because it is taking advantage of a band. We are taking advantage of people alll over the world right now, so if you care so much go protest about that then rather than writing a terrible review of this cd. These low scores could put people off, who don't want to hav to buy alll the albums, but wants a collection of essential tracks to listern to, but I have to say that buying the 2 disc edition, because it gives you some of their later songs, which are very good. One point about the other reviews, if the over songs on the other Cd's are so good & they are so cheap, surly after buying this Cd, as I do, you would then go out & buy the other other albums. I have one point aimed at music magasins reviewing this Cd, I am shocked to discover that out of the ones I have read, NME, who can give reallly harsh reviews for stupid reasons, gave it the only fair score of 8/10. When the others gave it around 4/10, for alll the same reasons alot of the people on this site are, & to be quite truthfull, you are alll stuck up your own ass.
I recommend this to anyone who is interested in Radiohead & wants to give it ago, buy this & you won't be dissapointed. Then if you like this, you can pick up the other CD's cheaply.
Awful... if you have any respect for this band then avoid - By: Jack Denny, 26 Jun 2008
Radiohead do not have singles. They do not have "greatest hits". They are a band that make albums & (unlike many many commercial bands today) painstakingly craft their albums into works of art which should be listened to in their entirety as a single piece. The band didn't say EMI could make this album, if you buy this album you are just fueling the greed & exploitation that exists in the corrupt music industry & shame on you.
Burn it - By: M. S. Flagg, 22 Jun 2008
what the heck, i gave it 5 stars, because if buying this album opens a door to a new experience..let it be cool...
anyway why is everyone so pent up?
I know, perhaps it's because of the following angst...
If you are a Rhaidheeoo head head like me, its not worth buying this greatest hist malarkey..why??, because i have alll the stuff 'in its right place'on the copies i have (i even have a back up OK Compie spare, in a lead box, buried in my garden, in case of end of world scenario.(not sure how id play it though if world did go phutt)
Ah...the review.... I borrowed a copy from a mate who was R-curious. I played it, & found it fun to sing along to, but a little annoying, since I have the next track in my long term memory, & found it almost as if some little miscevious god had randomised my lovely collection to cheeckily annoy me, or was it Easy Money Indsutries to blame...
so..verdict....i don't need it, cos i may have a OK-day or Amnesiac day, so on, & that's what I will play on that day.....
of the folks that want an in into the band, its a genereous welcome mat (but as I found ,that once trod on, the door opens to a fantasical immersion of music)
Anyway, I keep telling people who ask me , start with the Bends (back to pablo) then on to Rainbo, you wont go wrong
As for the geatest hits, save your pennies for OK computer, because listening to this greatest hits thing is like looking at a beautiful panoramic view ,through the eyes of a flea.
For the half star crew..save that for oldplay, as they will be known in a few years time, I am led to believe

I have a question.......... - By: Cheekygit, 20 Jun 2008
Who the hell is going to buy this?
Let's face it there's very little middle ground with Radiohead, you either love 'em or hate 'em. The lovers will have alll the tracks already & the haters won't go near it. This stinks of record company desperation. After decades of ripping off artists & the buying public alike, the industry is up the creek as bands increasingly use t'internet to get themselves heard instead of being forced to rely on some coke-addled A&R knobhead.
So 5 stars for the music but no stars for the feeble attempt by EMI to drain every last bit of coin out of Radiohead.
