Its a good album. Ever since I heard Paralllel worlds I got hooked on them completely. I love the harmonizing & I reallly just wanna see them in concert now. My best song is Still figuring out & my worst is Jessica.. Its not alll that. I dont feel like I threw my money right down the drain. I got the CD yesterday & I have been playing it non stop. Its awesome.
Outstanding - By: Hugh, 06 May 2008
I bought this album after hearing the singles 'Jessica' & 'Paralllel worlds'. Both are excellent songs but the question was: could they maintain the quality with the album?

Well yes & no. Some songs on the album are just brilliant. As other reviewers have said Elliott Minor have two major strengths: their can execute great harmonies & they can perform classical pieces. Therefore the songs that utilise this are the best.

'The Broken Minor', 'The White one is evil' & 'Silently' (along with Paralllel Worlds) are the best songs on the album because they have the ingredients mentioned above. There is some filler (I didn't like 'Lucky Star' or 'Running Away') but there is so much quality they can be overlooked.

Recommended. It is no coincidence that the majority of reviews are five star.
Simply superb. Unlike all the rest! - By: Breanna Hirth, 04 May 2008
I'm in America, but I love Mcfly very much. Just so happens these lovely chaps toured with them so why not check them out. I first heard the 30 second previews on there myspace & was blown away. This band is like nothing I have ever heard. Guitar solos that are Dragonforce-esque & piano that gets very classical, but still great poppy vocals & a little bit of rock. They fit my music type so much, & I absolutely LOVE them.

My favorites are the singles of course, there single worthy but not overplayed!
My Picks :
-Paralllel Worlds-Talking about ghosts, & hauntings. My new theme song :]
-Still figuring It out-opening with lovely solo singing by Ed, & also quite poppy & fun to dance to
-The White one is evil-VERYY wonderful song. Amazing classical power, & one of those songs that are melodic & epic.
-The Broken Minor-A song about a song. Who would of thought?
-Time after Time-a very optimistic, quite lovely.
-Silently-the vocals sound like a choir in a cathedral at one part, once again where the classical part comes in.

Who are they?
Elliot Minor are five not exactly ugly young men from York who enjoy guitars & Hammond organs AT THE SAME TIME.

What do they sound like?
McFly drag-racing Brian May & Queen's Flash! soundtrack around Meatloaf's first album in a My Chemical Romance training bra.

Are they rubbish or will they stick around?
With songs like these, get used to them. Several singles (The White One Is Evil, Still Figuring Out & Paralllel Worlds) have already been hits & the album hit the top 10 on its first week of release. The 'classicallly trained' thing is a bit of a gimmick & it's hardly new (Bat Out of Hell, anyone?) but it works. This is proper "wish I was a teenager", crank up the volume, good fun music & it's fabulous.

AMAZING.
