Working in a HMV I have a good incite to the music industry & its new & up coming talent, but recently there has been a halt & the amounts of drool albums each week full of talent less artists that has made it in to the u k chart is astounding.
I found this album to be relief from the same old Indie rock or pop trance in the chart. She brings a much-needed new taste back with some slow but also catchy jazzy numbers. Top girl!!!!

Chasing Pavements in my opinion is one of the best singles of the year! When I first heard it I was blown away, its truly a beauty! The rest of the album is lovely. Adele is definately a rising star!

Gontarz, 05 May 2008 I am absolutely amazed at some of the comments that have been given to this album whist she ain't no ms Winehouse quite clearly some credit should be given to her singing ability as she can sing a good tune. I agree that the album isn't the best this year but its only here first & she's only nnnnn nineteen.
This will grow on you!!! - By: TAGS, 02 May 2008 I found this album hard to get into at first,I couldn't help making comparisons to Miss Amy, however one month on & this album has now become a firm favourite, it's great to sing along with!
Purchase, give it time, it will win you over!

A bad bad album!! Chasing Pavements is a terrible single, it is sooo irritating & depressing. You just want to grab the remote control & change over the radio station asap when it comes on & if you can`t do anything to shut her up, even flushing your head down the toilet would be better than listening to Adele!! Cold Shoulder ain`t much cop either, in fact the whole album is dead boring. Buy Madonna`s or Estelle`s album - much better!
