Great acoustic album focusing on his recent album "Continuum" and the great "Try!" - By: Rae8908, 05 Jul 2007
John Mayer is a name that if you asked anyone in the UK they'd reply "who?". That's got to change. I've been into Johns stuff for a few years now & I am reallly enjoying his new change of direction in Stevie Ray/Hendrix/Clapton influenced tunes. However I was pleased to see he is still keeping his acoustic roots & this album proves he can be both the jazzy electric artist & the soft acoustic balllad musician. Best tracks are "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room", "Good love is on the way", & "In Repair." I was a lil disapointed to see that "Stop This Train" - my favourite track on the Continuum album was not on the CD. That track is a brilliant, a moving song based on the journey of Mayer's life & how he has to leave his parents & go about his music - should of put it on, it would of fitted perfectly. Still this album is worth the money for a Mayer fan. I hope he gains more recognition here in the UK because he is a very talented soul & has a lot to show. One gig at the London Forum isn't enough John!! :)
Another Stunner - By: A. J. brown, 29 May 2007
Only six tracks on the CD alll from the latest release Continuum, why should I buy it I hear you say? Answer because it's great that's why! New acoustic versions give the songs a new dimension & stripped down production means you reallly get to hear the songs.
Ben Harper guests on 'Waiting for the World to Change' which in it's self is worth the money.
Don't be put off by how short this CD is 30 minutes of top quality music is worth more to me than 70 minuties of fillers any day of the week.

As I write this John Mayer is fairly unknown in the UK but I'm sure this is about to change.
