Joshua Winslow Groban (27/2/1981) is a Grammy-nominated American singer/songwriter with a baritone singing voice.
This album is the singers third of 4:
His 4x platinum debut album JOSH GROBAN was released on November 20th 2001,
His second, the 5x platinum selling CLOSER, was released on November 11th 2003, AWAKE {2x platinum} was released on November 7th 2006, & his Christmas album NOEL was released October 9, 2007 {2x platinum.}
According to information that came from the CD/DVD version of NOEL, AWAKE the live concert CD + DVD will be available early in 2008.

Inspired by a visit with Nelson Mandela to South Africa, Josh set up THE JOSH GROBAN FOUNDATION to help children in need through healthcare, the arts & education. Mandela appointed Groban as an Official Ambassador for Mandela's Project 46664, a campaign to help raise Global awareness of HIV/AIDS in Africa. Also on September 2nd 2007, Groban donated $150,000 to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to fund music education.
Some of Groban's musical & vocal influences have been Radiohead, Paul Simon, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Björk, Mandy Patinkin, Klaus Nomi, George Hearn & Luciano Pavarotti.
I first discovered Groban on the soundtrack to the 2004 animated film The Polar Express singing BELIEVE, & have been enthrallled by him ever since!
If you like Josh Groban, this album is his most modern, & so he is showcased to the best of his ability.

Excellent album of Josh finding himself - By: Ms. S. Brocklehurst, 04 Nov 2007 This album is brilliant - it has a combination of classic songs & more modern style songs, & its the combination of these styles which brings the album together. Moreover you can hear Josh is developing his singing & songwriting skills if you listen to his lyrics & the music - he seems to be finding himself after having had a good kick start with his debut & "Closer".
The DVD is fun to watch especiallly as it shows Josh as his usual, loveable, goofy self!

Keefe, 06 Jun 2007 having been a singer since 1962 & having listened to some great singers over those 40+years Josh Groban is in my opinion one of the most eloquent Ive ever heard."You are loved"(dont give up) is a beautiful song sung with such depth of feeling it brought tears to my eyes.A truly talented artist one who deserves alll the success in the world.
Extremely good value again. - By: M. E. Wilson, 06 Dec 2006 I became a fan of Josh's having seen him perform on Classic FMTV. He has a beautiful voice & this album, like his others consists of songs in English & others in Italian (I think?). The DVD is about the making of the CD album & not a visual performance of Josh singing the tracks on the album. It grew on me after a few playings & I now think that it is a great CD. Words to alll 15 (INCLUDES 2 BONUS TRACKS) songs included.

A very good album. - By: Somebody, 29 Nov 2006 This is the third & latest album from Josh Groban. It is in a different & refrshing style from his last two. As expected, it contains reallly beautiful songs. He is even rocking out a bit with some drums & a little guitar. Another nice thing is that he has started using his falsetto more which is reallly good & adds a nice touch & variety to his songs.
Good voice, good songs, good lyrics. Also the DVD is funny & gives us an insight into what Josh is like. He has a nice personality from what I have seen.
