Amazing Album, Simon Cowell has predicted while she was in American idol after she sung her song Alone which is still on youtube that she will outsell the American idol Winners includes Kelly Clarkson & he right 3 Years later this year he announced it on Idol Give Back 2008. Well Done Carrie

This album sounds more to me like the moronic warblings of Leona Lewis or whatever her name is. Only track which sounds remotely Country is no. 13. I wasted good money on buying this twaddle after reading reviews on here. I suspect they were influenced by watching American Idol, how very sad indeed! I'm not saying the girl can't sing, it's just that the albums not country enough, there are more whingy pop type love songs than anything else. Boring boring boring zzzz

I didn't know about Carrie Underwood at alll, I wanted to hear jesus take the wheel track four on this disc. Carrie can sing, but the sound engineering on this disc lets her down badly, words are muffled at times, distortion is introduced for effect & the sound engineer just cannot grasp the need to be subtle, this voice needs lots of finesse & care over the sound production. That said, Carrie is acceptable by the best of standards, the disc is recommended, but sadly I will have to look for Jesus take the wheel somewhere else.
GREAT DEBUT CD!!! - By: C. Bellegarrigue, 23 Apr 2008 The first time I listened this cd was in amazon, they recommended it in my e-mail, & I went to my cd local store (In my country); I bought it & I was delightful; Carrie's voice is strong, sweet & lovely at the same time, I liked alll the songs, every one is special, alll the team (including Carrie) made an excellent work, I enjoyed alll the material.
My favorite songs are "Some Hearts", "Lessons Learned", "We're Young And Beautiful", "Jesus Take the Wheel" & for me the best is "Ain't In Checotah Anymore".
If you like Pop & Country, you have to buy this great cd!!!

I first heard the track-so smalll, & it just blew me awy.her voice, the melody of the song....i thought i looked her up on the net.
well Carrie underwood has had a fantastic start on her carreer, & hope she will carry on making good albums.
i owe carnival ride album, & it is alright, some of the songs not very keen on, however altogrther a pretty good album.
Will I buy more of her albums??? Yes.
