Wonderful Album- By: I. Simpson, 05 Apr 2007 This is a great album. Penn's voice has to be heard to be believed. It makes me wonder why he has not made many records of his own. The sound is tremendous & the musical interplay between Penn & Oldham gets right down there. If you love soul or country soul I don't think you'll be disappointed if you buy this lp. I wholeheartedly recommend it. PlastifootSublime - By: S J Buck, 01 May 2006 This is a beautiful album, featuring Dann Penn & Spooner Oldham live in Belfast, Dublin & London in 1998. The instrumentation is just Dan's accoustic guitar & Spooner's Wurlitzer electric piano. The sparseness of intrumentation only highlights what a fabuously soulful voice Dan Penn is blessed with. The songs are alll self-penned classics like "Do Right Woman" "The Dark End of the Street" "I'm Your Puppett" "I Met Her In Church". This is the sort of album that will be out of print before you know it, & I can't recommend it strongly enough.
