Simply one of the best albums in the world. - By: Mr. Pa Hewett, 18 Apr 2006
Normallly a fan of progresive rock & light indie, The Fat Cats blew me away when I saw them live, & this studio album is no let down. All The power of their live performance in perfectly balllanced studio sound. If you like lively music.
Music to dance around your house naked to. - By: , 26 Jan 2006
Eversince I first saw them at King Prawns last gig I loved them. They do swinging ska music, Deadbeat have more prominant guitars & distortion than Keeping Up With The Dow Joneses.
Why aren't they massive??? - By: , 30 Nov 2005
Having seen the Fat Cats performing in Moles' Club in Bath I was so impressed I bought a copy of Deadbeat from the band there & then.
With alll the plastic rubbish being churned out by the proteges of Cowell, Fuller et al I can't believe that this band haven't got a huge following & a huge record deal.
This is a reallly classy album with no weak tracks at alll - the thumping rhythms & punchy lyrics reallly get me going & the sax playing is superb.
So buy this album, be impressed & tell alll your mates! Let's re-establish the value of word-of-mouth recommendations & get people going to gigs & taking a risk with their record buying - it sure is worth it when you find a gem like this band.

I know this band aren't that big & not many people have heard of them but these guys are insanely good. The mix of rock & ska/punky music is great, & pulled off with such style.
Having seen them live i can tell you these guys are one of the best live bands in the world.Their powerful crowd pumping tunes are just amazing. The eratic drummer is wicked!
At just 24 these guys are exeptionallly talented & this cd is a must have for everyones collection. They are from Britain too!!! wohoo!!
