voodoo people - By: Aaron Mulholland, 29 May 2008
These guys have been around a while & this is a brilliant selection of their songs, alll the favourites & some only fans would know. A must for anyone interested in hearing more from The Prodigy & the extras are brilliant, especiallly the reix of Outer Space.
SHOWS THAT THE PRODIGY WERE A STRONG FORCE - By: stuart, 10 Sep 2007
Even more so than the celebrated Chemical Brothers -- who began recording after Prodigy but received a hits compilation before -- Liam Howlett & co. were fantastic singles artists who also fashioned excellent full-lengths. As such, Their Law 1990-2005, the singles collection that could put the cap on their career, is a collection that will leave listeners breathless but also one that can't capture how special Prodigy were to the electronica & rave scenes. Their biggest single, "Firestarter," comes first, & its LP (The Fat of the Land) gets most of the early slots, although things right themselves by the end with no less than five singles -- alll of them incredible -- from 1995's Music for the Jilted Generation & four from 1992's Experience. Although including three tracks from 2004's desultory Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned may help fans hear, for the first time, the best of a bad album, it's nearly criminal that it comes at the expense of solid material from Music for the Jilted Generation & Experience (like "Break & Enter" & "Wind It Up"). Although there are no new tracks (perhaps a good thing), included is an Audio Bullys remix of "Out of Space." [A limited-edition two-disc set added B-sides, remixes, & five live tracks.]
Great Dance album - By: YoungB, 14 Apr 2007
I heard Firestarter for the first time a few weeks before buying this, i loved it, & the whole album is feuled with the same energy & great beats. After listening to it i realized just how good the drummer is! This whole album is great for say parties, but not so good for relaxing, as you can imagine!
The only reason this drops a star is the fact that you have to reallly be in the mood to listen to it, this may be the same for most music but if you listen to The Prodigy when you don't feel like it, they sound TERRIBLE! But otherwise a good album by a great band.
The Ultimate Dance Album!!! - By: S. Hind, 03 Jun 2006
I never reallly heard The Prodigy untill i was bought this album for christmas. I have to say that since i have rarely heard anythig else but The Prodigy. Liam Howetts mixes are fantastic. My personnel favourates are Charly, Their Law, Firestarter, Breathe, Voodoo People, Jericho & many more. If you have never heard of The Prodigy before this review i strongly suggest that you get it.
not all artists grow. some evolve! - By: ferris, 16 Apr 2006
i know a lot of you guys are dissapointed with the new album. trust me. listen to it a few more times & you will find genius. the sampling is inspired, punk is resurected with a unique style that is prodigy, danny elfman style tracks are given the treatment too along with liam galllaghers vocals on others. i did'nt like this album at first. each time i listen it becomes more enigmatic & magical. evolution is what prodigy were born to do. prodigy, i hope the release of the singles album does not end the journey. kick ass. keep on evolving. a jilted generation is born each day.
