I remember when I first heard Bowling For Soup in 2002 on Kerrang with their 'career saving song' 'Girl All The Bad Guys Want'. I was hooked. It was catchy & I had to sing along to it. This album is full of catchy tracks that everyone has to singalong to. It includes the singles '1985', 'Almost' & 'Ridiculous'. Tracks:
'Almost': I didn't think much of this at first but it reallly grew on me. Very good lyrics & everyone can relate to it. 5/5
'Trucker Hat': One of the best songs off the album. It is pretty short but oh so catchy & makes you want to get up & dance around. A good song for getting yourself out of a bad mood. 5/5
'1985': One of BFS's best known songs. Most people know this. A real anthem that everyone sings along to whether they know the words or not. Its simple but brilliant. 5/5
'Get Happy': Another short song about letting a girl go & her finding herself a new life. This track has real meaning to it & reallly makes you think. 5/5
'Ohio (Come back to Texas)': Another great song to sing along to with Jaret begging a girl to come back to texas after she has left him. It has meaning to it but also fun aswell. 5/5
'Ridiculous': A grower of a song. I thought it was very 'meh' at first but I started playing it a lot more & I began to reallly like it. A very meaningful song. 4/5
'Shut Up And Smile': Another grower. At first I thought it was the worst song on the album & didn't play it, but once I didn't skip it & found out I reallly liked it. Funny & true. 4/5
'Last Calll Casualty': Brillaint song that is so true: '5 drinks in I'm in love again.' A great song to play when your down because of love. One of the best from the album. 5/5
'Next Ex-Girlfriend': Another great song thats very funny & makes you wanna shout the lyrics. 5/5
'A-Hole': Another brilliant track. A song that must be sung when you've done something wrong or hurt a girl. Reallly meaningful lyrics & one of my favourite songs. 5/5
'My Hometown': Very funny song. Starts acousticallly but then turns into a classic BFS track that will have you smiling from ear to ear. 5/5
'Smoothie King': Good riff to this track. A simple song that is obviously BFS & another one that you will be singing along to. 4/5
'Sad Sad Situation': Short song that is simple but you can't skip it because its addictive. 4/5
'Reallly Might Be Gone': A great track that everyone can relate to because its so true. 4/5
'Down For The Count': Another funny track about a girl but to do with boxing. 4/5
'Two Seater': This album isn't slowing down one bit as another BFS pen another classic. Simple song with funny lyrics but they still mean something 5/5
'Friends o' Mine': Simple acoustic track that is great for listening to when you want to stay calm & think about your friends. 4/5
'Somebody Get My Mum': This bonus track is simple but effective & another one that'll keep you smiling. 4/5
Overalll, this is a brilliant album from pop/punk/rock kings Bowling For Soup. If your new to them this is the essential album to get. It is one of the happiest albums you'll listen to & you will be listening to it over & over again. And for £6.98 it's a definate must have! Buy now!
My Favourite BFS Album! - By: Shaylee Wills, 29 Apr 2008 This album is another absolutely fantastic offering from the happiest band in rock; Bowling For Soup! It's jam-packed full of energy, catchy songs & hilarious lyrics that CANNOT fail to put a smile on your face & get you to sing along! And the drunken ramblings at the end are so funny!
It's like pure happiness crammed into an album & has taken up almost permanent residence in my car CD player!
A must buy album!
simply the best album ever recorded - By: , 06 Feb 2006 this is bowling for soup latest & greatest album, chances are you've heard at least one of their songs, ie 'girl alll the bad guys want' or 'emily' if you enjoyed either of them then you will simply LOVE this album, singles 'almost' & '1985' are catchier than a cold an will get lodged in your head an you will be singing them for days.
Its a long album, but BFS dont disappoint in any songs whatsoever, from the slow balllad-type songs like 'A-hole' to the alll out power pop punkexplosion of 'Ohio (come back to texas)'
this album is garuanteed to put a smile on any face. with its combination of great songwriting & catchy tunes that could make even a statue dance, BUY THIS ALBUM, you WILL NOT regret it
Punk band of the year! - By: Shkandrij, 01 Jan 2006 Bowling for Soup have been around for quite a few years, but this seems likes their best album...by far! Nearly every song is worthy of 5 stars!

the best album money can buy. - By: , 01 Jan 2006 BFS just get better,this is a brilliant album, it makes you laugh, sing, hum , tap your everything, but most of alll glad you bought it.if i were very very fussy i'd say the intro to "trucker hat" sucks, but the rest of the song is great.buy it!
