Great Album for a Real Nostalgia Trip ! - By: Keith Barber, 09 Dec 2006
I stumbled across this Carly Simon album on Amazon & snapped it up as soon as I saw it because it contained so many of my favourite childhood records (You're So Vain, Nobody Does it Better etc.). A brilliant album & worth every penny.
Great ! - By: Patience, 25 Aug 2006
Although I liked her music back in my youth (long way back!)I never got round to buying a record, since then hardly heard more than an occasional song on the radio. When I saw this CD on Amazon I decided to treat myself, if only to enjoy "You're so Vain" which I love, & have discovered I now love nearly alll the tracks here. Classic numbers, a good mixture, perfectly executed - I'll be looking for more from Carly Simon on Amazon .
Good one for the collection - By: Chilly Willy, 28 Jul 2006
I bought this CD because I liked 3 or 4 of her hits (You're So Vain, Nobody Does It Better, Let the River Run) & wanted to hear her others. Some of the them are starting to grow on me, & overalll a good collection.
If you're a big fan then obviously you'll think this collection is great. She has a great voice, but I wouldn't says I'm a big fan - just love the handful of works mentioned above.
Happy to have bought this & would recommend it. Suggest you try to listen to the tracks first for a taster (you can hear 30 sec samples on the amazon.com site).

A Remastered Masterpiece! - By: Martin A Hogan, 05 Oct 2005
For nearly four decades, Carly Simon has been producing top-notch high quality songs. This `remastered' collection contains alll of her best & its hard to argue about which succeeds better than others. From the achingly lamentable, "That's The Way I've Always Heard It Should Be" to the emotional anthem, "Let The River Run", Carly pulls no punches with her strong voice or slick arrangements. Few female singers have such a strong band or percussion backing them, which has proven to be a Carly Simon trademark. You may have had an overdose of some songs, "You're So Vain" or "Nobody Does It Better", but they are intensely catchy at the very least. There are two distinctly different duets here. James Taylor playfully counters with a `calll/response' technique on "Mockingbird, but the real surprise is the country flavored "Amity" with Sallly Taylor. It's alll in the family & it alll sounds fantastic!
