Great Scott ! a MUST HAVE wondrous anthem - By: Eli, 25 Jan 2007
I first heard 'Run' on Monday the 22nd of January 2007. It was used as the background music for the very end of a BBC1 afternoon play. Oh! my goodness, what a fabulously fitting work of musical art in that part of the show. I did not have a clue what the song was callled or who was singing it. But I just had to have it! I searched the web throughout the evening - using scant parts of the lyrics with which to search. Today, I am now playing the CD song on my PC -I cannot turn it off. I must admit that I think that the third track is better listening choice than the second, & the CDROM video of 'Run' is worth viewing. This is such a beautiful & emmotive, spine tingling song. Oh! the chorus line. I have not heard an anthem as good as this for years.......I would love to give it 10+ stars......

This song has got it just right. The right tone, the right sound & length. It does't try to go above itself & keeps the rhythm & lyrics simple. The way it sweeps over you sends a shiver up my spine, the slow paced guitar riffs & haunting voice of Gary Lightbody create the perfect piece of alternate music Ive heard in a long time.
The song that made a concert! - By: Sarah, 02 Jun 2005
The Tsunami Relief Concert, 70,000 people in the Millennium Stadium, with little red LED torches - this is the song when we chose to 'Light up'. It's emotion was overwhelming. This is a song to touch the heart. It's not one for a boogie, it's one to close your eyes & absorb. If you ever get a chance to watch them perform this live, take it!
Beauty in song - By: PESfan, 10 Nov 2004
Every time I think about a perfect album , this song is always the title track, it is quite simply a masterpiece. The first time that I listened to this song I did not reallly pay much attention, but after watching the video & repetitive listening this has become may favourite ever song. The mood is sombre & reflective, to some it is depressing, but to me it is a musical massage, the guitar ending is spectacular & dwarfs the efforts of other bands who have tried to accomplish this sound, I would even go as far to say that this song is better than any produced by Coldplay, its that good.
I feel compelled to listen to this song everyday just to keep me from deprevation. I insist that everyone appreciate this song for its true beauty as a peice of music.
A voice of dissent - By: Plantagenet, 07 Apr 2004
I'm sorry but I just feel that the whole world has gone crazy for dull, dreary, drudgy music,
of which this is a prime example.
I gave it two stars because I reserve one for songs that make me feel murderous.
This just makes me suicidal!
There's this bit where, if it just did something else it would be a fine song, but instead it goes straight back to the beginning of a repetetive loop that just isn't right.
If it were faster, or the lyrics cleverer, or it had a truly great middle eight, it would be redeemed.
But no, it plods relentlessly towards the merciful end;
and there's probably more where this came from, for years to come. Urrgh!
