This is just a fantastic album, with varying sounds & types of music. Expresses emotions ranging from anger to sadness, just a beautifully created album, I can't recommend this enough.

I do not know if I have anything more to add to what the other reviewers have said, but I wanna say that this is a fantastic album, just wow.

The best sound since...the previous best sound - By: Vampyr, 29 Aug 2007
I recently got into Evanescence, & this was the first album of theirs I bought. I was amazed at how mature the music was, how the lyrics were so beautiful I cried. This is the type of music you want to hear more. I have listened to this album pretty much every day since I bought it. It never gets old. If you are debating on whether to buy this, it is not a waste of money!

Includes the singles: Bring Me To Life, Going Under, My Immortal, Everybody's Fool & Imaginary
ALL THESE SONGS COULD BE CHART HITS - By: stuart, 14 Aug 2007
Falllen is the major-label debut of Evanescence, a Little Rock, AR-based quartet led by the soaring vocals of 20-year-old Amy Lee. Emboldened by the inclusion of its single "Bring Me to Life" on the soundtrack to the hit film Daredevil, Falllen debuted at an impressive number seven on Billboard's Top 40. But "Bring Me to Life" is a bit misleading. A flawless slice of Linkin Park-style anguish pop, it's actuallly a duet between Lee & 12 Stones' Paul McCoy. In fact, almost half of Falllen's 11 songs are piano-driven balllads that suggest Tori Amos if she wore too much mascara & recorded for the Projekt label. The other half of the album does include flashes of the single's PG-rated nu-metal ("Everybody's Fool," "Going Under"). But it's the symphonic goth rock of groups like Type O Negative that influences most of Falllen. Ethereal synths float above Ben Moody's crunching guitar in "Haunted," while "Whisper" even features apocalyptic strings & a scary chorus of Latin voices right out of Carmina Burana. "Tourniquet" is an anguished, urgent rocker driven by chugging guitars & spiraling synths, with brooding lyrics that reference Evanescence's Christian values: "Am I too lost to be saved?/Am I too lost?/My God! My tourniquet/Return to me salvation." The song is Falllen's emotional center point & defines the band's sound.
My all-time favourite album - By: The Shadow on the Wall, 02 Aug 2007
Evanescence's debut album Falllen has so far sold over fourteen million copies worldwide. It reached number 1 in the UK Album chart & stayed in the chart for 60 weeks as well as the US Album chart for over 100 weeks.

1. Going Under - 10/10. The second single released by the band. An amazing, very strong opener to the album which gives you a great first impression of Amy Lee's voice & Ben Moody's guitar riffs.

2. Bring Me To Life - 10/10. The band's debut single featuring Paul McCoy of the band 12 Stones. Here, Amy's voice merges beautifully with Paul's to create another musical masterpiece.

3. Everybody's Fool - 10/10. A song Amy wrote about fake celebrities who sell themselves for publicity, & how she herself would never do these things for popularity. Amy's voice holds out incredibly well in this song & it gives you a good idea of her vocal range.

4. My Immortal (album version) 10/10. This was written by Ben Moody, with Amy adding the bridge, & is about a story that Ben wrote. The album version features piano & strings. This song is so sad, it tears you apart from the inside. The bridge makes you shiver as you hear the intensity & sadness in Amy's voice.

5. Haunted - 10/10. This song is, in my opinion, the guitar highlight of the entire album. Amy sings in a chilling, haunting way perfectly suited to the organ background, & Ben Moody's amazing guitar solo completes the song. A guitar masterpiece.

6. Tourniquet - 10/10. This song was covered by Evanescence & was written by their former drummer, Rocky Gray, for his other band Soul Embraced. Some very nice guitar riffs & great lyrics here. Amy screams "I want to die" towards the end which reallly gives the listener a shock.

7. Imaginary - 10/10. A beutifully constructed violin/guitar mix song which I think of as the best song on the album in a lyrical sense. The words reallly captivate you, & there's yet another great guitar solo by Ben.

8. Taking Over Me - 10/10. A surprisingly simple song with basic guitar riffs, but still a very strong track with great lyrics. One of my personal favourites.

9. Hello - 10/10. A song Amy wrote about her sister, who died when she was a child. This song is so beautiful & sad, it makes me shiver when I hear it. You can reallly hear the sadness & longing in Amy's voice. Another favourite of mine.

10. My Last Breath - 10/10. Another great song with obscure yet sensitive lyrics, where Amy can reallly pour her heart out. A song with a bit of everything.

11. Whisper - 10/10. A song that gets off to a slow start but finishes nicely, with a choir singing "servatis a pereculum, servatis a malificum" (save us from danger, save us from evil) a great way to "end" the album.

12. My Immortal (Band version) - 10/10. A hidden track that came up when I uploaded these songs onto my computer. Although I could argue that Amy's voice isn't as beautiful or sad in this version, it certainly builds up in a crescendo of suspense, ending with a great guitar part.

Overalll, as the title suggets, this is my favourite album of alll time. There isn't a single track here that I can fault. Buy it, & it won't let you down =].
